Register online. After our review and approval, you can access personal links and referral status. Customers enter their details through your link. You see reference, service, status and reward. We manually verify contracts and received payments.

Your rewards at a glance

All rewards are gross total amounts, including any applicable VAT. VAT is not added on top. Example: training paid at 150 € gross gives a 15 € gross reward. Private individuals and small businesses must not charge VAT unless entitled to do so.

How referrals work

1. Register your account: Provide your own contact and billing details. Business referrers must provide suitable evidence.
2. Share your personal link: After approval, your dashboard provides a personal link for each service. The customer submits their own enquiry through it so we can attribute the referral.
3. Enable contact: The interested person contacts us directly. Only pass on another person’s contact details with their documented consent.
4. Verify success: A click, enquiry or signed application later withdrawn is not enough. We check the agreed outcome and clear attribution.
5. Settle payment: Following approval, the reward is paid under the agreed settlement terms. Payment recipient details and required documents must be complete.

Which referrals qualify?

The scheme is for adult private and business referrers. Rewards apply to new, traceable contacts whose relevant case was not already being handled by us before the referral. Duplicate referrals, self-referrals, fictitious contacts and unsupported retrospective attribution are excluded. Where several referrers are involved, the first verifiably confirmed attribution takes precedence. A double reward for the same outcome requires express agreement.

Health insurer and energy provider partner terms also apply. Pawelkorb GmbH must approve the application route. Our existing provider links remain in use. A visit through a link does not prove a successful contract with the provider.

Private or business activity – the rules in Germany

There is no general 280 € business-registration threshold

Whether business registration is required depends on the nature and scope of the activity, not a flat commission amount. Independently organising paid referrals on your own account, on an ongoing basis and for profit may constitute a business from the outset, even with low income. Regular advertising, repeated referrals or a planned referral activity point towards business activity. A genuinely isolated private referral may be assessed differently. No fixed number of referrals determines every case.

Under § 14 GewO, starting a fixed-location trade must be notified to the competent authority. Clarify your status with the trade office (Gewerbeamt) or chamber of commerce (IHK) before regular activity. Business participants must provide suitable evidence, such as a business registration or company document. Existing businesses may need to check their registered scope of activity.

256 €: tax exemption threshold for certain occasional services

Occasional private referrals may fall under § 22 no. 3 EStG if they do not belong to another income category. Income covered by this rule is not subject to income tax when the total for the calendar year is less than 256 €. This generally means receipts less related deductible expenses, across all such income, not just Pawelkorb payments. At 256 € or more this exemption no longer applies to the whole amount, not only the excess. Whether income tax is actually due depends on your overall personal circumstances.

This tax rule neither permits regular unregistered business activity up to 256 € nor automatically requires business registration from 256 €. The small-business VAT rules are a separate matter. Keep records and clarify tax returns, VAT, invoicing and possible effects on benefits or insurance individually.

Payment, waiting time and cancellations

Commission is paid only after a successful outcome eligible for remuneration. The first required customer payment, the success conditions above and actual receipt of our corresponding commission or fee by Pawelkorb GmbH are required. An application, signature or click alone does not create a payment entitlement.

Confirmation and settlement can take up to two months, or longer if the provider delays settlement. Once we receive payment and verify the conditions, we aim to pass on the agreed referral reward promptly. Complete billing details are required.

No reward is due for unsuccessful contracts, withdrawal, cancellation, non-payment or reversal to the extent that our corresponding remuneration is lost. This includes withdrawn or cancelled energy contracts. If our related fee is not paid, is charged back or must be repaid, we may reclaim the corresponding amount of a referral reward already paid for that case. We will clearly explain the case, reason and amount. A mere settlement delay does not by itself justify recovery.

These conditions are agreed before participation. They do not automatically change previously agreed different remuneration terms retrospectively.

A referral means making contact

Referrers introduce contacts. They make no promises on behalf of Pawelkorb GmbH or a partner, sign no contracts for customers and accept no customer payments. Participation grants no authority to undertake insurance, financial or property intermediation requiring a licence. The distinction depends on the activity actually performed. Product advice and contract decisions remain with the responsible parties.

Use approved information only and disclose your financial interest clearly, for example: “I may receive a referral reward if the contract is successfully concluded.” No unsolicited mass emails, marketing calls or publication of other people’s data. Health, identity document and bank data must not appear in public comments or referral reports. Customers submit necessary documents themselves through the designated secure channel.

Your responsibilities and advice

You are responsible for your own business registration, tax registration and personal obligations. Pawelkorb GmbH does not provide individual legal, tax or financial advice. If unsure, seek advice before starting from the trade office, IHK, tax office, tax adviser or legal adviser. Our own legal obligations, particularly data protection and proper settlement, remain unaffected. People resident or active outside Germany may be subject to additional or different rules.
